Disciplines

SKATEBOARD (4 disciplines)

Tight Slalom
The equivalent of 100m sprint in athletism. 40 cones in a straight line with 2m in between each (for the Pros) gives the participants incredible speeds towards the end of the course. The 16 best from the qualification will battle it out in a head to head final, no 1 against 16, 2 against 15 etc.
Giant slalom
The skaters will use the full width and length of the Trocadero slope in a giant slalom course set to maximize both speed and agility required. Skaters will have to work hard to position themselves correctly to maintain their balance as they head down the slope in high speed.
Special Slalom
The special slalom could be seen as a combination of giant and tight. The course is set in a way that varies both the cone distances and the offset to the fall line. This type of course requires the skater to adapt their rhythm and speed through the different parts of the course. The 16 best from the qualification will battle it out in a head to head final, no 1 against 16, 2 against 15 etc.

Slide Contest
The aim of the slide contest is to achieve the longest and most stylish slides possible towards the bottom of the hill after generating top speed going down the hill. The slides will be judged by a jury and they will consider style, ease, difficulty, speed and the length of the slide.

ROLLER (4 disciplines)

Speed Slalom

You have to go through 20 cones as fast as possible, the most efficient trick to do it is front one foot. You may use quads or inline skates ; 4 or 5 wheels skates.

The cones are separated by 80cm. (This distance is calculated from center of the cone to center of the next one)

Tight Slalom

You have to go through 40 cones as fast as possible. The cones are separated by a distance of 1.40 m. The track is about 3% steep.

FreeStyle Slalom

You have to go through different cone courses, and to do different tricks. You can do the tricks you want to do but your time is limited. A jury is here to compare the different runs of each riders and to do a ranking. You may use quads or inline skates.

Slide Contest
